Michael Nakache is a French film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born and raised in Paris and now lives in Los Angeles.

After graduating from ESEC (Ecole Supérieure d’Etudes Cinématographiques / Higher Education School of Cinematography Studies), he worked on several productions before writing, producing, and directing his first short film, Miscalculation and Consequences (Méprise et Conséquences) as well as Convivium, which came shortly after. Convivium starred some of the finest French actors, such as Mélanie Thierry (French Academy Award winner) and Grégory Fitoussi (male lead in the internationally acclaimed series, Spiral).  It was celebrated at a number of prestigious film festivals, including but not limited to the Palm Springs Short Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, Pierre Cardin Short Film Festival (Audience Award), Krakow Film Festival, and Rochester International Film Festival to name a few. It was also broadcasted on major TV channels and represented France at the Ciné Première Film Festival. More recently, Michael co-wrote, co-produced, and directed short films The Passenger and Transference. They were publicly and critically acclaimed in major festivals and broadcasted internationally on several TV networks, including HBO Europe for Transference.

Michael currently has several feature films and a series in development. His work is trademarked by quality, authenticity, passion, and a very prolific imagination alongside a truly personal vision of the world.
